As Mark says signal tracing 101 after cleaning pots and switches and checking the PSU is on spec and has low ripple. Use a 100mv 1khz sinewave or 448hz if the electronic Gods are really messing with you : ) Start at TR (smudge could be a 5,S or sigma rune) base, then emitter, that goes to TR (could be 12, 99 or bog knows) check it's base and collector, this is the OP via C27, then go back & follow the signal through to the heads, in other words you'll probably have to do a lot of tracing PCB tracks and wires and end up drawing your own schematic which is hard and takes a few goes but is a good exercise to do as it teaches you a lot.
