Curious hybrid mix. A fully transistor design was entirely feasible in 1966. Not sure when the AF11x series arrived but the OC170 and OC171 were certainly around then. Perhaps the designers could get better performance from an ECC85.
I bet it will work well and sound great when it's fixed.
