McFee keeps sending me messages?

Gary doesn't mention email, so I wonder if he's getting system messages - I think I had those about McAfee shortly after starting to use a new (Lenovo) PC, reminding me to pay for the McAfee system that was pre-installed and ready to go, or was it to take up a free trial? In any case, they were soon dealt with by using CCleaner to uninstall whatever there was of McAfee and any other programs I knew I didn't want. Doubtless there's also email spam in circulation claiming to be from McAfee as from a multitude of other corporations and authorities - a recent favourite here was one purportedly from the DVLA telling me urgent action was required to avoid losing my driving license, a thing I've never had.
