Three Ireland are Mobile. They once got a contract and €150 M to supply broadband.
They advertise Super Fast Broadband with WiFi.
It's mobile. They do supply router/airpoints (Ethernet + WiFi) but have never ever provided a single broadband connection. The box uses a mobile modem. Mobile is connect outwards on demand, never always on. No static IP possible. Also Mobile drops connections if the demand on the mast is high and better signals have priority. No assurance of any particular speed or even a connection.
Maybe EE do have real Broadband. Three in Ireland don't. They are just a marketing company, yet allowed to buy O2 Ireland. Parent company is in Hong Kong. Their selling below cost, no cap (stupid on mobile) and advertising in Ireland almost killed Broadband and fibre investment.
