Transformer single stage output ratios

I've used Line to regular speaker transformers. You need a 5W to 10W for a 1W SE, due to DC. They work very well for push-pull as DC cancels. Note that centre tap is not the 1/2 way of ohms from the Zero end! Some have 4, 8 and 16 Ohms on secondary side. Some I have are out of columns that had four 4" 5 W speakers in series/parallel.

Some cheap mains transformers are twin C cores and if you cut the outer strap the two cores can have small air gap.
