This was the first of two of these Ultra "Troubadour"s that I have.
It needed a full capacitor swap, some other minor repairs and re-alignment. Built a small AM MiniMod pantry transmitter tuned to 1025kHz (fixed) driven from a 9V PP7.
This is all driven by a small Anker BT receiver which has an internal Lithium battery which will keep it going for about 5 hours.
I used a BT receiver with a rechargeable battery as I found that using one that relied on an SMPS (as all microUSB chargers are) resulted in too much "hash" across the AM spectrum.
Even so, I put a decent ferrite with multiple turns on the audio cable from the BT receiver to the MiniMod - that improved matters considerably.
