No, you don't want to buy a horn speaker!
2K + 2K phones are often cheap, but many have failed windings. I've used a small mains transformer (6V or 9V) and a 10" 8 Ohm speaker to replace a 2K ohm moving iron + paper cone on a 1929 radio.
Also you don't need papier mache, just ordinary A3 sheet. I used a modified 2K PO Relay as a "motor" to drive a cone made from A3 sheet and it worked but was unstable.
1928 or 1929 kit radio with Speaker & transformer of a Sky Queen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XG9smr0xR4
Same radio with unstable paper cone driven by modified relay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxVrSYz83Pg
McMichael Suitcase. 1929. Missing 2K moving iron and paper cone replaced with mains transformer and big 8 Ohm speaker (likely sounds better than original

The 2V is a replica pack by putting parallel-Series NiMH C cells and rectifier splitters for charge and rectifier combiners to parallel the series stacks and drop volts a bit. GB replica pack uses original style B cells taken from the flat 4.5V packs for rear torch lamp. The Replica HT pack uses Alkaline AA in holders and gives about same capacity as original B cells because they were Zinc Carbon.
