Honestly why do we get bogged down with worrying that pantry transmitters are causing interference?
In the real world the biggest issues are poor quality SMPS, induction hobs, phone lines, broadband routers, mains power line adaptors. These items kill medium wave especially in towns and cities. A few paltry pantry transmitters isn't an issue, a complaint which is as likely as winning the lottery can be dealt with. Any complaint to ofcom will be ignored and the complainer told to switch to FM, DAB or the Internet.
The limitation of talk about pantry TX power on forums IHMO is unnecessary and in fact items that radiate excessive QRM are far far worse than a pantry TX, perhaps talk of those devices should be curtailed. I virtually cannot operate on 160 & 80 meters because of them and even a pantry TX struggles because of the persistent QRM at this QTH!
