I'm not sure what your beef is with "rather cool ‘hot’ water"? "rather cool"? Why? It's just right imho.
The system is designed to produce up to 300lt/h of 50-55C hot water, just right for underfloor heating and domestic hot water from taps. Our very few standard emitters (radiators) are specifically sized for the GSHP.
Why on earth would you heat hot water to 60C plus then immediately mix it with cold water so as not to scald yourself? Waste of energy.
We've had 16 years of pretty much maintenance free and completely reliable usage out of our GSHP. No annual maintenance costs...
We're measuring a CoP of 4 at the moment - it won't be that all the time, but it'll be close.
