It's more bizarre than that. Allegedly the Russians are using many commercial unencrypted analogue radios, including the cheap Beofang Chinese VHF-FM handhelds for their troops!
Streaming audio & video is tracked and certainly not anonymous even if you don't log in.
The main European satellite infrastructure providers (Eutelsat and SES-Astra) were due to pull the plug on RT also.
There were few arrests in St. Petersburg last night because the crowds protesting against the unprovoked Russian Invasion were too large.
China, Russia and Romania certainly didn't stop HF broadcasting. The rational in most Western countries was purely the Bean Counters. They falsely think that Internet and FM is cheaper to reach the same numbers. Absolutely fake in the Third World and even in some areas of the West.
DAB has been purely political and in a few countries to favour the State or national multichannel broadcasts. RTE DAB ended in Ireland last March. FM of BBC R4 still doesn't have the coverage of LW. The DAB coverage of Five Live is nothing like the MW coverage. BBC R. Ulster MW closed recently purely as a cost saving measure.
