Well I have played the AMP for hours now and the power caps dont change temperature at all. No bulges so not like yours Jeffrey. Its simple when you have a clear fault.
Electros from even earlier can be alright if the item is used. Repaired a 60's Ekco radio that was used every day and the power caps were still good. With wired stuff its easy to measure leakage current and there was virtually none. Left those and its still working fine.
