Oh crap!
There is a big bit of metal floating around in the 5FP7 CRT, the inside final anode connection has fallen off! The focus coil is being removed and going for the magnetic one when I replace the CRT. Also planning to go for a hybrid transistorised Frame driver, the transformer is not passing the sawtooth at 12.5Hz, the fly back pulse is there but any current very quickly drops off and disappears.
The transformer bobbin is the type with two separate windings, one for the primary and another for the secondary. Perhaps it would have been better with a single section and interleaved windings as in an audio transformer, not sure?
