In a short run like inside a speaker cabinet the Cross sectional area of the cables is not so relevant. Long runs yes due to losses. Don't let Audiofoolery take over and fit oxygen free titanium coated gold plated cables with space x insulation be a requirement. I've seen 1.5mm stranded cables used inside top end speakers which like I say perfect inside a cabinet, you need a degree of flexibility as vibration on thick cables can crack soldered joints etc.
