i have what i consider much worse a model r309, when it came to me the digital display showed nothing caused by dry joints the volume control and band swich both needed cleaning and lastly wont tune on mw. but worst of all is the sound quality or lack of it, i like the old ones and use my r500 as portble of choise, i only bought the rc1because it was cheep and looked like a proper roberts
