Yes, but it seems that people ignore it.
Of course, it's possible the pressure might be low enough to cause harm but not low enough to light the warning light.
I've been watching far too many teardown videos of electric cars recently, and the simplicity of the mechanics is so refreshing compared to combustion engines. Still quite a bit of complexity in the cooling, but drivetrain reliability over the last decade or so does seem pretty good on the whole.
