HMV are the worst sets for the problem but allegedly its to do with the animal glue.
Yes, my two problem cabinets were HMVs. When I followed the instructions on the can of woodworm killer it didn't work. This is when I adopted my over the top approach - it takes time but it works for me. Treat very very thoroughly, bag up and leave, treat again very thoroughly, bag up and leave. I do let the cabinet breath one the treatment is over before refinishing or bringing back into the house. I know the two cabinets I treated this way were "live" but this cured them completely. There is no point in refinishing a cabinet if more holes are likely to appear!
