Well Peter, it rather works the other way. It's supposed to be a Faraday Cage to protect the Sony from being exposed to huge Band I radio waves from the HTL transmitter, which might otherwise overload it. Whether it will actually be any good remains to be seen, since I would expect there to also be a powerful induced field near to the TX relying on the magnetic component of the signal. Very much "try it and see" based on (I admit) a weak grasp of the theory.
