I have an older version of the one Refugee linked to.
I do SMD work with it. It has got a slight delay and I did find it annoying at first but I have got used to it now.
If I have not got the microscope out and I want to check for something like solder splashes between IC pins I use the camera on the smartphone.
I Use the zoom feature on it or take a photo and zoom in. I find it works quite well
