This is what he said to me in an Email:

I'm currently in the United States regarding my IP address.  I've subscribed to NordVPN for two years because I'm sick of big brother Google watching every keystroke I make and a while ago our account was hacked; now I'm virtually invisible on the web.  I've also dumped Google Chrome.

I dont see / feel any of the issues he seems concerned about.  Dont use Google Chrome just MS Edge? W10 and Virgin Media.  Sometimes use Google for a search but no issues, not going anywhere dodgy so dont care about a trail.

Only use Defender and have no Ad Blockers as a few Ads dont bother me and are sometimes interesting if techie.

Dont do Internet Banking but use PayPal which seems fine.  All personal stuff on the PC is Encrypted with Kryptos 2.

Is it too easy to get yourself nervous from others ?
