Ekco AD65 chrome bars sizes

Hi, The bakelite bars on my brown set are tapered in width front to back approx 4.6mm rear x3.5mm front, x 13mm deep. I would have thought the chrome bars on the black sets would not be taperd can any one tell me what size they should be? Thanks John.
