I was sorting a box of stuff that came from a clearance and found a Sonifex Redbox RB-BL2: https://www.sonifex.co.uk/redbox/rbbl2_ld.shtml
Definite overkill for converting the 33 output to balanced line level (it's over £200 to buy one new) but it's a zero effort solution. I can't see I'll need it for anything else in the near future so it can live quietly in the cables and spiders.
