A very impressive model. I was fortunate to have sailed on 1950s built general cargo vessels: with Blue funnel and Elder Dempster and think that ships from that era, like the Kenya were some of the most beautiful looking. Whilst on the marine theme, the museum of Internal Fire in south west Wales have a 1950s ships radio room (GB2MOP) which can be heard operating on the VMARS 3.615MHz nets quite regularly. I have a fancy for an Oceanspan Tx and a matching Electra HF Rx: I already have the matching Mercury LF/MF Rx which I originally acquired to listen to the Alexanderson Grimeton SAQ transmissions.
