Thanks to DJRM for that link, but I'm finding information that seems that a Lambda is probably not the way to go if you want to look at O2 levels greater than air; I have not found a single reference to anyone doing that. As Nick says, it produces a non-linear output relative to air, and probably does not expect to exceed 1:1 and I think it plateaus. I haven't completely discounted a Lambda but I'm looking hard at other options. The commercial concentrators uses an ultrasonic sensor - the speed of sound changes as the composition changes. There are various modules on Aliexpress.
My next door neighbour is a hospital consultant and I have good friend whose wife is a retired GP, so if a time comes when I have a working device and want to know about using it, I can ask them for guidance.
I've heard of one guy who uses one to supply O2 to some kind of welding or cutting torch; it has some kind of damage and as been discarded for medical use.
If anyone wants to see for themselves the effects of oxygen, they can try the experiment I used to show our visitors.
Take an ordinary household candle (6 x 1 inch) which would probably take one hour to burn in air. Light it and put it in an enclose which can be purged with O2. With pure O2, it will be gone (in spectacular fashion) in 5-10 seconds.
Any further contributions (preferably not discouraging ones) welcome.
