The idea is to use the split grid 1J42A which runs at 6 to 9v HT. Output from the mixer will be low so probably the TA7642 should not be overloaded. I've penned out a circuit for the frequency changer from the top of my head and have started on bread boarding it, we will see if this stage functions first. TBH if this works then the rest should be a doddle. Battery supplies will be 1 Ni-Mh AA cell and a PP3, the AA cell running the valves filaments and the TA7642 and the PP3 running the valve HT and TDA2822 audio chip. Let's hope this works out.
