We don't have transport, and faced with the problem of reducing an accumulation of about 700 radios and related items by half to make our, I trust final, relocation possible, I emailed Millers of Newcastle. Sorting out the items to get those I was ready to part with nearest the front door was a labour, but there were no other complications, the auctioneers' collection van made five visits spaced over three weeks, practically everything sold though a proportion of items took more than one attempt, and we cleared around £6k which just about covered our removal expenses. Regardless of the financial side I would have hated consigning any sets to the dump, this way they all returned to circulation so a multitude of new owners could do as they thought fit with them. I noticed some on eBay in the succeeding months, absolutely fine by me and good luck to their sellers.
