Mine also has pages from October 1937 which I suspect is when it was first issued.
The book also has a wonderful an un-defineable odour.
I was glancing in the book at random and found a reference to "the mosaic irradiation lamp". I think this was to improve the picture by reducing the severity of tilt and bend. Many years later, "light bias" was used with Plumbicon camera tubes to reduce motion lag. Is there nothing new?
