That's one option, Jamie, and there's certainly room. I prefer AC/DC sets but they haven't got a simple LT supply the can be easily misappropriated. I have got an idea forming though.
Thanks everybody else for your comments. In case I didn't make myself clear, as far as I'm concerned Long Wave is fixed. It's a bit of a bodge it having two ferrite aerials in but if I ever get chance I can re-wind the coil properly. It seems like a pointless risk at present.
It was easy to work on at at least all the FM stuff isn't behind a load of armour-plate.
I've got it on Absolute Radio Classic Rock at present and very good it sounds too. I'm trusting it with straight mains now and the current seems rock steady.
