One other thing that went through my mind is grid capacity.
I'm sure this has been discussed before but I think the goal posts may have moved.
I know that Hunterston power station in North Ayrshire will close I belive next year due to cracks in the granite reactor. Is not the big Chinese power station in southern England not on hold? Other old power stations are in line for decommissioning too, wind isn't always reliable and with a no deal brexit looming, that could even mean issues with power sharing with the EU. If the demand rises with thousands charging 18650 cells this could lead to blackouts.
