I agree. Last year touring in the US we hired a Ford Fusion hybrid and I had hoped that the regenerative braking would prove useful in the mountainous regions but I was disappointed at how quickly the battery became fully charged and consequently the relatively short duration of "free" motoring that was thus gained. It just didn't have enough battery capacity.
