Hi Frank.
The CRT was indeed well packed and I armed myself in full body armour to get it out . It's really encased well in the expanding foam and protected.
The video is crushed at the CRT cathode with a bit of ringing, the anode load resistor and its decoupled feed resistor have more than doubled in value, I'm sure when I change them tomorrow all the ringing and milkyness will be cured.
The focus control is touchy so it will need a modification done, I've a simple solution up my sleeve for this particular pot. All will be revealed if my idea works.
