Hi.
Whether the simple switching circuit will work on the scooter I've no idea, these were only used on cars with battery/dynamo or alternator set ups. On 6 volt systems the small voltage drop is a bit more noticeable, I know it worked well though on a 50's Ford which was 6v positive earth.
