A few weeks ago I had a look inside the vanguard at dads rod valve output stage modification, (that works probably better than the original), it's not really possible to see what connections are what, my reason for posting though was just to note that as was mentioned earlier in the thread, its possible to make the7 pin plugs with paxolin or similar, and a suggested source of pins was PCB solder pins, dad used the double ended "vero" pins but these measure at 1.3mm whereas the B7G valve pins are 1mm in diameter, and will strain the conections in the valve holder and make them loose if replaced with a normal valve.
