Every 10% increase in filament about halves the life of the filament. The effect on the coating is a separate issue. The filament is spring loaded to keep tension constant as it heats or cools, tungsten is hard but brittle.
The power rating is related mostly to the filament current as it's a pair of electron guns with electrostatic focusing, no grids.
They are purely military parts. They are amazing as the 1j24b still works with two in series off 1.2V, i.e. 0.6V per filament.
