Transistor assisted ignition for vintage scooter

I remember sparkright they were quite popular. There was Luminition too and another that you removed the points and fitted a sleeve over the distributor cam which has 4 tiny rod magnets built into the sleeve, there was a pickup either a coil or a hall effect device. It worked well enough unless it wasn't spot on when the engine misfired at revs.
I also built some capacitor discharge types as well but they were less reliable with the occasional failure and usually at the wrong time.
