Hi.
Here is the circuit and I'm not sure if this will work on a magneto set up. C is the cap across the points and can be removed. CX is to be the same value as the cap across the points. Values are for 6 volt systems. Note that the transistors are PNP. I'll take a look as to what to use as the second transistor it's 30 or more since I made them and the type of the PNP transistor needed escapes me.
PS the first photo is wrong as the 470 ohm resistor is missing and it wont edit out.
