Hi.
Well the CRT from Bob was no good. So I took the plunge and decided to cobble in the MW6-2. After some faffing around and mm making the area as safe as possible I powered up the set and was rewarded with an unlocked picture. This was traced to the double Diode sync separator having an open circuit heater. Strangely with careful adjustment of the hold controls both line and frame locked.
What surprised me most was that I had only done cold checks and a blanket wax cap replacement. Although the bench gets messy I actually do this type of work methodically.
Well pleased with the result.
I've done a new YouTube video too.
