Personally I think telephone companies are now getting away with too much. Years ago I think there were regulations which limited use of the phone such that it was an offense to use the system for anything like this. I feel that the phone companies themselves should accept a good proportion of liability for such fraud. They appear to just make money out of fraudsters using the lines.
