Thanks, Chris but I was ahead of you on that one.
The same thought had occurred to me, Rob. I have every intention of putting the case somewhere well away from the soldering iron while I'm working on the innards. In fact that's what I normally do and is where having an external speaker come in very handy. Not only is the case safe from getting scratched or otherwise damaged but it gives more room on the bench.
Well I think I've proved my point about the benefits of going to 'old-fashioned' auctions.
