The are 1A fuses.
I have brushed out around the circuit board etc with a fine paintbrush. I noted that the end 2 ECC83 had the metal shrouds against the base so I moved them up to be clear. I have slowly worked up to get all of the valves in place with NO shorts. Now I am pulling my hair out - I am getting mains hum badly with literally no volume at all!!! Do you think I have damaged one of the electrolytics as I did not have any mains hum before I replaced the transformer and went through all of the series of shorting out?
