These tubes are tough - the so-called "missile tubes" represent the ultimate in rugged design at the end of the tube era - some were used in proximity fuses for shells...
e.g. the CK5840 has a shock rating of 450g and a continuous rating of 1000g (tested in a centrifuge) and I've seen other types as high as 2,500g.
