FWIW I buy cases for my projects from https://modushop.biz/site/ . I've also had them customise for me, with front panel machining and post machining anodising. I've also had them machine rear panels and digital print them. The additional cost for these operations is surprisingly cheap (digital priniting of a panel, even multicolour is Euro30 for example)
I've gone away from DIY boards too, and have boards made by www.pcbway.com , a Chinese board house. They charge about $1 o $2 a board for the typical sizes I have used (minimum 5 off) including silk screen and solder resist. I pay extra for DHL shipping. The time between sending the Gerber files and them arriving on the doormat from Shenzhen is an awesome 5 days. I *did* try hard to use a UK board house, but for the same Gerbers as pcbway were charging $2 per board for 5 off, the *cheapest* quote I got was £400 (so £80 per board)!
