Yes! we do record films from the Virgin channels on to the box but a lot are rubbish to me.  My wife calls some "afternoon films" and watches them as background doing chores like ironing.

Cheap DVD / BD disks seems a very easy way to be independent and you get to watch films that are to your taste.
