Peter, thanks for digging that out. I suspected it was a telly set special of some kind. The sort of thing you desperately need if you're fixing a set that uses one but otherwise of no use at all.
Sorting through all my drawers and boxes of semiconductors I'm unearthing all sorts of things. One thing that I've wondered about is the huge number of differently numbered small signal silicon transistors which are utterly interchangeable.
For anyone that likes such things I've found loads of Lockfits. BC147-BC149 and BF194-BF197. They have reliabilty problems in service. I wonder if they also fail in storage. Other things I've found in quantity are small power transistors such as the BD244, a perfectly sensible medium power PNP: http://www.radiotechnika.hu/images/BD244.pdf Oddly, the data sheet makes no mention of Ft or switching speed.
