Yes, "wonders" of modern technology!
My motivation to change my battery was that after leaving the car unused for 4 weeks it didn't turn over with its usual vigour although it started the engine fairly immediately. What I was aware of was that you take quite a risk in trying to bump start a 2004 TDCi Mondeo. It has chain driven camshafts (good you might think) but the chain tensioner relies on engine oil pressure and the sudden kick of a bump start can easily cause the chain to jump its sprockets with expensive consequences.
