Truly petrol resistant paint is hard to find in my book, I sprayed a motorbike tank, took me weeks to get right, arm nearly out it's socket from sanding, finished with three coats of petrol resistant lacquer, first fill up dribbled a bit on tank, paint job turned to rat sh*t. Didn't have the heart to take it off and start again so just painted with hammerite or whatever.
I'll keep an eye for this Candy stuff, getting a good paint finish with spray cans is possible, but there's an art to it, and as you've noticed, some sprays are better than others.
