I think you're right about high build primer being easier to use Andy. I did the top coat this evening, and it went OK, but I had the sense that it was less forgiving. For £6 a can though, I have a positive feel about Canbrush; I've certainly used worse.
I've never used a high build primer before, in fact, the anti-rust primers I've used before (like David's 182) were extremely 'low build', giving the feel that it was mostly solvent and precious little pigment.
