Ed Dinning rewinds all sorts of transformers. So does Mike Barker. I don't think Ed can do EHT overwinds on LOPTs, the tall thin kind. Mike may be able to do them.
Received opinion is that the best way to dry out a transformer is to pass DC through it. This dries it from the inside. If you gave it a good baking that probably dried it but from the outside. With luck you baked out all the moisture.
TV22 prices are stiil way down on their peak. Can't remember when they peaked but possibly early 2000s, with £100+ for just about anything, maybe £300 for a nice example back then.
