Hello, my name is Martin and I love design and engineering. I'm an audio/high fidelity man who has most likely repaired, owned or sold just about every piece of audio equipment that has existed since the 1950s.
Fortunately for the Vintage Radio I also love radio and TV and a lot of other stuff. I can't step more than two paces without tripping over a Hacker or Roberts or a valve tester etc. I also seem to have developed a knack of finding gear after their owners have abandoned it. Our families first colour TV was found on a skip, a Murphy hybrid set and I'm sorry its so long ago I forget the model a CV25..?It was quickly followed by about 100 others.. In fact I joined here because on the way home yesterday I saw an old piano stool sitting on the street. I went to have a look and when I lifted the seat, a Roberts RD60 was inside. I needed the circuit and someone here had it...Then of course after looking around I wanted to join.
I'm not just a scavenger though...
