Wow quite the history! I had no idea of any of the back story. It is interesting that the seller notes that he doesn't recall the name of who he bought it from, but I think Peter is on the right track. The seller states:
"I bought the set from the English gentleman (I can no longer remember his name) who was also an expert in WWII cypher encryption equipment"
I certainly didn't mean to open a can of worms here, just thought this was a very interesting set.
