PY 81 as power rectifiers?

Way back in 1966 in a Pye CTM4 I employed a pair of PY81s as replacements for the PY82 HT rectifiers. The PY81s were intended to be a temporary replacement but fact remained in the set until it was taken out service many years later. The CTM4 was a restyled version of the VT4 TV receiver.
